Video Lesson #11 – God’s Timetable, pt. 5 Wise Men Still Fear Him! Because God’s timetable is so exact, it can lead to a fearful realization that we are drawing closer and closer to some very powerful prophetic events, such as the second coming of Christ. Indeed, those who lived in the centuries before Christ’s first coming also had reason to fear the truths in those prophecies. In this lesson, we learn that, while Jesus is to be feared, He is, at the same time-LOVE ITSELF! Read the rest of this entry »

As we continue to look at the life and reign of Herod the Great, it feels like we are reading today’s headline news. We have been looking at God’s timeline for dealing with mankind and the sin problem. It is interesting to explore the history and culture in which biblical events occurred. The birth and crucifixion of Jesus were the MAIN events. All previous events were designed to prepare mankind for this moment in time. In this lesson, we begin a look at the life and reign of “Herod the Great.” From the background, culture and attitudes of this one man, we can learn everything we need to know about the times in which Jesus was born. From Our Heart to Yours

In this article, we explain our burden for outdoor preaching and our vision for the future.

How to Start an Outdoor Ministry

Want to start an outdoor ministry? This article explains exactly what we do and what we have learned along the way.

We offer links to the equipment we use and instructions on the basics of sermon development–anyone can do it! This can be used for training young ministers.

The CK Values Top 10 Priorities – Word List

First is “JESUS” – not merely as a name to be used in prayer, but as a feeling person, our King and Master, the Savior of our souls. His story must be told again and again and He must be loved and served!

Then, “CHRISTMAS” (Incarnation), “CRUCIFIXION,” and “EASTER” (Resurrection). We want to insure that the incarnation, vicarious death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ are central and prominent in all our teaching.

SIN” and “FORGIVENESS” are next. These are two sides of the same coin. We need to understand our sinfulness to truly understand and appreciate God’s forgiveness. The Holy Spirit is singularly commissioned with convincing the world of sin, so that He might then draw us to God to receive forgiveness. It is a beautiful and divine process.

Next are “GO,” “PREACH” and “SEND.”  These three words express the exciting duty of the Church. As exemplified by our Lord and the early church before us, we are, each and every one, commissioned to leave our places of comfort, preach the Gospel to the lost and send others to do the same.

The last word (but certainly not least) is “BIBLE.” The bible  commands us to to becomeworkers who have no need to be ashamed… rightly handling the word of truth” 2 Tim. 2:15.We believe that knowledge of the entire bible is crucial to both knowing Jesus deeply and ministering Jesus to others.

In summary, here are the 10, single word principles of greatest emphasis at Campaign Kerusso:

1) Jesus 2) Christmas (Incarnation) 3) Crucifixion 4) Easter (Resurrection) 5) Sin 6) Forgiveness 7) Go 8) Preach 9) Send

With God’s help, may we never stray from this GOSPEL

Only one life, so soon it will pass.

Only what’s done for Christ will last!”

Who We Are & What We Believe: Harold & I have been in ministry together since Moses was a baby in a basket (well okay, 1973). We have worked together with pastors from A/G, Global Youth Evangelism, Foursquare Gospel, Open Bible, COGIC, PCOG, & other full-gospel groups (we are not currently affiliated with any of these good organizations). In our youth, we attended GYE University in Orland, CA: a non-denominational, free bible school led by retired A/G bible college professors. Currently, we provide evangelism training & opportunities. Because we were given biblical training by faithful servants, we count it a privilege to pass this training to a new generation. Please let us know if we can serve you or your church in any way.

Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE…The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

WE BELIEVE…There is only one true God –revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

WE BELIEVE…In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.

WE BELIEVE…Though created innocent, man willingly fell into sin –ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

WE BELIEVE…Every person can have restored fellowship with God through His provided means of  salvation. This gift is given to those who trust Christ, through faith and repentance, to be their personal Savior.

WE BELIEVE IN…Two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

WE BELIEVE…The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

WE BELIEVE…The initial physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘speaking in tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

WE BELIEVE…Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christ-like.

WE BELIEVE…The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin.

We BELIEVE… The Church is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE…That as a body, working together under divinely called leadership, we  must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, worship Him with other believers, edify the Church and meet human need with ministries of love and compassion.

WE BELIEVE…Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).

WE BELIEVE…In The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.

WE BELIEVE…In The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

WE BELIEVE…A Final Judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.

WE BELIEVE…And look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. ‘And so shall we forever be with the Lord!’

When Moses brought Pharaoh God's message requiring him to set the children of Israel free, his immediate response was arrogant and defiant. He felt strongly that God had no authority over the affairs of his life. He jeered: “Who is the Lord?" "Why should I obey Him?" "Why should I let Israel go?" Pharaoh was no different than any of us. We are all slow to give the Lord His proper place in our lives. In this message, we learn what that place is: We owe Him; we need Him and we belong to Him! Read the rest of this entry »

We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow”(Be sure to read David Hill’s testimony in the “show more” area.) 2) Thank You Lord for the Trials” (with lyrics) 3) “Thank You Lord for the Trials” (live) 4)“My Life is in Your Hands” May God bless your session. Video & PPT Lesson Lesson #7: God’s Timetable, pt. 1 The Alpha & the Omega (The scope of the story) God’s amazing plan to restore creation & save mankind begins in Genesis with “The Alpha” (who is Jesus) & ends in Revelation with “The Omega” (also Jesus). The very angels in Heaven & creation itself have an ardent personal interest in His plan… So do we! We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “Song that the Angels Can’t Sing” 2) “Angels Long to Look into These Things” 3) “Favorite Song of All” 4) “The Song of the Redeemed” May God bless your session. Video Lesson #8: God’s Timetable, pt. 2 Timing is Everything In this lesson (and the next), we explore the 7 reasons why God waited till the end of His Master Plan (His Timetable) to finally reveal the main event… The Birth of Jesus!!!     We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “On Time God” May God bless your session. Video Lesson #9: God’s Timetable, pt. 3 Love is Patient!!! In this lesson we look at the 7th reason why God waited till near the end of His Master Plan (His Timetable) to reveal the main event–The Birth of Jesus. It was love, and love (like God) is patient. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “He Was There All the Time” 2) “I’ll Lead You Home” 3) “Landslide” 4) “You Keep Coming After Me” 5) “Your Love – Psalm 139” May God bless your session. Video Lesson #10 God’s Timetable, pt. 4 Jesus Watches the Father’s Clock In this lesson we learn about the exactness of God’s timetable. Every event leading up to the birth of Christ (and after) is perfectly timed to precise dates that only God and certain O.T. prophets know. The same is true for our lives. God’s timing is in His hands. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “He’s Coming Soon” 2) “God and God Alone” 3) “God’s Awesome Plan” May God bless your session.

Video Lesson #11 God’s Timetable, pt. 5 “Wise Men Still Fear Him” Because God’s timetable is so exact, it can lead to a fearful realization that we are drawing closer and closer to some very powerful prophetic events, such as the second coming of Christ. Indeed, those who lived in the centuries before Christ’s first coming also had reason to fear the truths in prophecy. In this lesson, we learn that, while Jesus is to be feared, He is, at the same time-LOVE ITSELF! We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “The Lion and The Lamb”  2) “Lamb of God”  May God bless your session.

Video & PPT Lesson #12 God’s Timetable, pt. 6 “Stars Shine at Night” “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is dawning upon you. Look, darkness covers the earth, and deep darkness covers the peoples, but the Lord will dawn upon you, and his glory will be seen over you. Nations will walk to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” Isaiah 60:1-3GW We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “Our God”  2) “Rejoice with Exceeding Great Joy”  3) “How Great is Our God”  4) “Here I Am Lord” (perfect for an altar call to ministry and service)  May God bless your session.

Video & PPT Lesson #13 God’s Timetable, pt. 7 “Jesus is Lord” This is a story about golden crowns, orbs, robes, scepters, swagger sticks and all such accoutrements meant to set one human being above others. Such pompous, presumptuous behavior is an affront to the Heavenly Father, Who has presented His only Son as the one and only true sovereign over all life in the universe. He is the King of Kings. He is Lord of All!!! We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together: 1) “You Are the Christ” 2) “Who Do You Say I Am” 3) “I Call Him Lord” 4) “Above All Worship” May God bless your time together.

Video & PPT Lesson #14 God’s Timetable, pt. 8 “A Tale of Two Kings” (Herod’s World – Seeking Pleasure) We have been looking at God’s timeline for dealing with mankind and the sin problem. It is also interesting to note how similar those times were to the attitudes of today. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together:. 1) “Lord, I Offer You My Life”  2) “I Owe You Everything”  3)“Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”  4) “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus”  May God bless your time together. Video & PPT Lesson #15 God’s Timetable, pt. 9 A Tale of Two Kings pt. 2(Herod’s Rise – Seeking Power) As we continue to look at the life and reign of Herod the Great, it feels like we are reading today’s headline news. It confirms Sir Lord Acton’s quotation about whether religious leaders are as accountable for their bad deeds as political leaders are. He wrote, “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority…” We must continually remember, first and foremost, ALL the GLORY BELONGS to the LORD!!! We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together:. 1)  GREAT IS THE LORD 2)  How Great Is Our God 3)  Humble Me 4)  You Alone May God Bless Your Session Video & PPT Lesson #16 God’s Timetable, pt. 10 A Tale of Two Kings pt. 3 Herod the Not so Great – Seeking Prestige When the pleasure-seeking Greek empire gave way to the power-grabbing Roman forces, Herod was fully engaged with it all. But, in his heart of hearts, he wanted more than anything to be remembered as a Great Man, a contributor, God’s gift to mankind, a name (dare we say) above every name. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together:. 1) All the Glory Must be to the Lord  2) Litany of Humility 3) Psalm 127  4) You Alone  May God Bless Your Session    Video & Free PPT: Lesson #17 – A Tale of Two Kings (Pt. 4) Don’t Call it Faith (Selling Phony Piety) Like the Pharisees, Herod was a religious hypocrite. He believed himself to be the likely Jewish Messiah. But, like many religious people today, Herod (who was not a Pharisee or a Sadducee) was a Fakeasee!! We would do well to examine our own hearts and discern between the things we do that come from authentic relationship with Jesus and those things we do merely for show. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together:. 1) If You Want to Lead Me to Jesus  2) No More Pretending  3) Less Like Me  May God Bless Your Session

Times of change and difficulty are often God's opportunity to work in our lives. Let us not waste this season of atypical confinement with our loved ones. These, potentially uncomfortable circumstances have the power to strengthen both us as believers and our families if we choose to gratefully embrace them. This sermon was preached online for "Light On a Hill Church" during a "shelter in place" government mandate, Grapeland, TX 2020 (Palm Sunday). Read the rest of this entry »

Sermons & Teachings from Our Home to Yours Article: About a Garden & a Wilderness Therese Greenberg We look at two instances when Satan targeted an individual with the full array of temptation as defined in 1st John 2:16. Article: Beware When Believers Increase Therese Greenberg Sign-seeking and self-advancement forms of erroneous Christianity have seduced church-goers throughout history. Rather than cite these movements, we will attempt to target some of the core values which attract us to them. Let us look squarely into what is really in our self-honoring, self-serving hearts. Video & Free PPT: Jesus Lives in an Upside-Down House Therese Greenberg The Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world are two kingdoms that employ completely different laws. The teachings of this world lead to death and destruction, the kingdom of God offers truth and life. When we begin a new life in Christ, we must learn to walk in the laws and principles of our new citizenship. We are children of God living by the principles of our Father’s Kingdom even while we are still here on Earth. To the world around us, it may seem odd. It may seem strange–it’s an upside-Down Kingdom. Video & Free PPT: Godliness Without Contentment Harold Greenberg     Scripture says, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” Do Christians hinder their own growth, their spiritual gain, by harboring chronic discontent? Article: Let Me be Better Next Time Harold Greenberg Over the years, we make thousands of choices; some good, some evil. It takes a lifetime and a heart for Jesus to learn the difference and choose the good.

Video & Free PPT: A Strange Land Harold Greenberg Just a whisper of an ungodly suggestion, and the first woman in history was ready to challenge her God’s loving direction and fight for her rights. The relationship between God and man changed forever and paradise became a very strange land. Is the church today listening to similar, gospel altering, suggestions? Is the church itself becoming a strange land?  Article: Verily verily, I say unto you…” Examining the Importance of Sound Doctrine & Not “Pulling Punches.” Therese Greenberg “Verily, verily” means that the speaker is sure of both the truth and value of his words. “Pulling-punches” refers to one who strikes with less force than they are able. They want to avoid hurting their opponent. This may have it’s place in the boxing world, but not in ministry.  Video & Free PPT: On the Side of the Angels pt. 5 of 5 Therese Greenberg   This is part five (Dangerous Duplicity) of a five sermon series intended for Christian adults and ministers. Article: Dig We Must! Therese Greenberg As followers of Christ, we have embraced a great infrastructure plan. It is God’s plan for a better, stronger, more powerful church to represent Him in these last days. “Dig we must to be brighter lights for Christ.” Video & Free PPT: Don’t be an Esau! Harold Greenberg     This sermon answers seven questions: #1 Are the tears of a Christian always Godly? #2 Can there be tears without repentance? #3 Can there be repentance without tears? #4 When we seek a place of repentance, do we always find it? #5 Can I live the Christian life without repentance? #6 What is the result of my living an unrepentant Christian life… and will I care? #7 What does all this mean for you, me and for the church in general? Article: When Children & Adults Study the Bible Together Therese Greenberg   This article reminds us of the importance of children in the mind of God. To Him, they are open hearted souls He can draw closer to Himself and even call into ministry, often at a very young age. Video Sermon: Don’t Be a Nimrod! Therese Greenberg In this sermon, we examine how human pride can gradually seep into our work for Christ and morph us into Nimrods rather than Abrahams. We are called to emulate the Abrahamic walk. With Jesus as our example and keeping Him in our sights, we can remind ourselves as often as needed, “Don’t Be a Nimrod!” Video Sermon: What Do You Really Feel? Therese Greenberg This video was a 2011 New Year’s message for my daughter and her family. It encourages believers to be honest with themselves and others about what we are really feeling. We need to let God search our hearts and show us who we really are. Video Sermon: When Christians Get Snippy Harold Greenberg In several scriptures, the Lord urges believers to be merciful as He is merciful. He reminds us that is is not our job to pronounce judgement on mankind–it’s His. Most of us try to live this way, but sometimes, although we refrain from bringing out a guillotine, we can’t resist a little snip with our scissors. The biblical story of David’s experience with Saul brings this truth to life. Video & Free PPT: Wheat & Chairs Therese Greenberg Living things grow and mature. When a believer is born-again, he starts his Christian experience as a baby feeding on milk. Then he grows into a toddler learning to walk, then an adult having babies himself, etc. To illustrate this, Jesus preached a message on the four stages of wheat growth. Video Sermon: You Owe Me Harold Greenberg When Moses brought Pharaoh God’s message requiring him to set the children of Israel free, his immediate response was arrogant and defiant. He felt strongly that God had no authority over the affairs of his life. He jeered: “Who is the Lord?” “Why should I obey Him?” “Why should I let Israel go?” Pharaoh was no different than any of us. We are all slow to give the Lord His proper place in our lives. In this message, we learn what that place is: We owe Him; we need Him and we belong to Him! Video Sermon: Quarantine – Endure or Engage Harold Greenberg This sermon was preached during “shelter in place” 2020. Times of change and difficulty are often God’s opportunity to work in our lives. Let us not waste this season of atypical confinement with our loved ones. Potentially uncomfortable circumstances (such as these), if we choose to gratefully embrace them, have the power to spiritually strengthen us individually as well as our families.  Article: Hidden Things Harold Greenberg A sermon based on the story of Achan (in Joshua) and his attempt to retain and conceal the booty he had taken from the Lord’s battle. Although we have been delivered from the world and its values, have we reserved a bit of this bounty and hidden it in our own tent (and at what cost)?

With the passing of Rev. Billy Graham, we might be concerned that the efforts of the Church (to take the Gospel outside the church walls) might decline. After all, for decades we have shifted much of that burden to faithful evangelists like Brother Graham. We can't do that anymore! However, we have noticed a new spark of evangelistic boldness and enthusiasm in some believers. Dare we hope that the Church (like Elisha) might pick up our forerunner's mantle? Some people think that faith in Christ can be simply added as a mere life enhancement, but this is untrue. It is impossible to love God and the world at the same time. Who We Are & What We Believe: Harold & I have been in ministry together since 1973.

To quote C.T. Studd:

“Only one life, so soon it will pass. Only what’s done for Christ will last!”

Now that Billy’s Gone to Heaven

With the passing of Rev. Billy Graham, we might be concerned that the efforts of the Church (to take the Gospel outside the church walls) might decline. After all, for decades we have shifted much of that burden to faithful evangelists like Brother Graham.

We can’t do that anymore!

However, we have noticed a new spark of evangelistic boldness and enthusiasm in some believers. Dare we hope that the Church (like Elisha) might pick up our forerunner’s mantle?

John Wesley said:

It is no marvel that the devil does not love field preaching! Neither do I; I love a commodious room, a soft cushion, a handsome pulpit. But where is my zeal if I do not trample all these underfoot in order to save one more soul?”

Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not whether they be clergymen or laymen, they alone will shake the gates of Hell and set up the kingdom of Heaven upon Earth.”

ABOUT FIELD PREACHING:

Every believer is called to preach the gospel — it is our “Great Commission,” the final decree of our Savior. Obedience to the Great Commission and our personal transformation into the image of Christ are the reasons we continue on Earth. Let us pursue both wholeheartedly.

Did Jesus really mean it?

In our hearts, we know He did, and that’s the proverbial “elephant in the room.” Perhaps we can alter it, dress it up, make it look as if Jesus actually said, Go… worship, love one another, do service, do miracles, study the Word, adorn the sanctuary, support missionaries, etc.

Perhaps we can simply toss one of these other, perfectly scriptural mandates over the big elephant and then tell ourselves that we are, by some stretch of the imagination, sort of obeying the “Great Commission.”

Still, we never quite feel the release and fulfillment that comes from full obedience. Instead, we feel selfish and rich with blessings amidst a dying generation.

Jesus — Our Example

Jesus went to Simon Peter’s house and healed his mother-in-law of a fever. She rose from her sick-bed and began serving Him. Soon, the whole city gathered at their door and He healed many.

Wow! People were coming, miracles were happening, the home was welcoming, and the lady of the house was serving food. Many a minister would extend the dates of such a plush engagement.

Yet, Jesus wasn’t comfortable — in fact, He was restless:

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.

Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: ‘Everyone is looking for you.”

Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else — to the nearby villages — so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” Mark 1:35-38

The Master’s Plan

There are many things we can train believers to do that will impact unbelievers, but we must never forget that the “big gun” in our Gospel arsenal is PREACHING itself.

Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. I Cor. 1:21 NLT

Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!” 1 Cor. 9:16 NLT

OUR preaching is HIS main way of speaking to the lost:

So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

And how are they to hear without a preacher?” Rom. 10:14 WNT

So Send I You

And how are men to preach unless they have been SENT.” Rom.10:15 WNT

A few believers are born with the ability to evangelize alone. The rest of us need the rest of us. We need training, organization, leadership and support.

This is what Jesus provided for His disciples.

And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach.” Mark 3:14 NAS

Organize Local Gospel Meetings

At the same time, He doesn’t force believers to go out alone without the support of other believers:

And how are men to preach unless they have been SENT.” Rom.10:15 WNT

Let’s revive the idea of Gospel Meetings (i.e., meetings that take place anywhere but in the church itself). The venues can be downtown shops, two-car garages, back-yard pools, etc. They can be geared to any age group — kids, teens or adults.

Do the math!! Putting together two timid but willing believers from each of five local churches would form a team of ten gospel workers. What more do we need to hold a campaign for the purpose of preaching to the lost?

Elijah was disheartened because he believed he was alone in his zeal, but to his surprise, God revealed there were actually 7,000 people with his level of commitment – but they were scattered. Christian leaders must identify and gather the willing workers scattered in their church, city, county, state, etc.

Military, business and sports leaders alike, know that winning teams must complete five vital stages before they can declare “mission accomplished!”

1] Gather a Team

2] Train the Team

3] Plan the Mission

4] Motivate The Team

5] Execute the Plan

Einstein said :

Vision without execution is hallucination.”

To “SEND” — Inspire, train, organize, and lead willing Christians into public gospel preaching for the purpose of winning the lost.

Jesus started with two, which then grew to a mere twelve. Let us emulate Him — gather a few willing followers, train them and take them out to preach, and see what happens.

Let’s join together in our efforts to preach to the souls living in our area. Indeed, there are a handful in your church who want to, but they feel inadequate for the task.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” John 9:4 KJV

Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” I Cor. 9:16

Go Ye… and Preach:

Every form of evangelism has its place in advancing God’s kingdom (including personal soul winning, righteous lifestyles, mentoring, tract distribution, etc.).

However, for Old Testament prophets, Jesus’ earthly ministry, early church evangelists, history’s street evangelists and foreign missionaries, God’s main tool (decade after decade, century after century) has been the willingness of His people to GO and openly, publicly preach the Gospel.

Preaching-based movements (Moody, Finney, Whitefield, etc.) have brought about each generation’s major harvest of newly saved souls. Now, for this generation, we must continue to do what Jesus told us to do.

Campaign Kerusso is another way to say: “Great Commission.”

Campaign (definition): “To exert oneself continuously & vigorously to gain an end.” Kerusso: (Greek) “To Preach”

OUR METHOD: “We must keep to our PREACHING as our Master did, for by this means souls are saved.”

OUR CONTENT: “We must preach OUR LORD’S DOCTRINE, and proclaim a full and free gospel.”

OUR STYLE: “We must preach with His GENTLENESS, BOLDNESS and LOVE; for this is the secret of success with human hearts.”

C.H. Spurgeon

OUR MEANS: “We must work under DIVINE ANOINTING, depending upon the SACRED SPIRIT.”

The CK Values Top 10 Priorities – Word List

(Word #1) JESUS

The First word is is “JESUS!!” This word speaks of the only MAN (who is also God) through which we can receive salvation. Jesus is not merely as a name to be used in prayer, but as a feeling person, our King and Master, the Savior of our souls. His story must be told again and again and He must be loved and served!

(Words #2 – #4) INCARNTION, CRUCIFIXION & RESURRECTION

We want to insure that the incarnation, vicarious death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ are central and prominent in all our teaching.

(Words #5 & #6) SIN & FORGIVENESS

This refers to two sides of the same coin. We need to understand our sinfulness to truly understand and appreciate God’s forgiveness. The Holy Spirit is singularly commissioned with convincing the world of sin, so that He might then draw us to God to receive forgiveness. It is a beautiful and divine process.

(Words #7 – #9) GO, PREACH & SEND

Next are “GO,” “PREACH” and “SEND.”  These three words express the exciting duty of the Church. As exemplified by our Lord and the early church before us, we are, each and every one, commissioned to leave our places of comfort, preach the Gospel to the lost and send others to do the same.

(The Final Word – #10) BIBLE

The last word (but certainly not least) is “BIBLE.” The bible  commands us to to becomeworkers who have no need to be ashamed… rightly handling the word of truth” 2 Tim. 2:15.We believe that knowledge of the entire bible is crucial to both knowing Jesus deeply and ministering Jesus to others.

In summary, here are the 10, single word principles of greatest emphasis at Campaign Kerusso:

1) Jesus 2) Christmas (Incarnation) 3) Crucifixion 4) Easter (Resurrection) 5) Sin 6) Forgiveness 7) Go 8) Preach 9) Send 10) Bible

With God’s help, may we never stray from this GOSPEL

Only one life, so soon it will pass.

Only what’s done for Christ will last!”

  • Kerusso on On the Path of Life — Latest News From Aggieland Faith:Sorry Gary, the zip is 77840. Your thoughts are always greatly appreciated. Harold and I have always been hesitant to “pass the plate.” I guess we are concerned that it will turn people off. A box for the pavilion is a good idea for those who want to give. No, I don't know about the tax laws, what do we need? Our daughter and her husband send a monthly donation and my sister once sent a donation instead of an anniversary gift. Thanks for caring, friend. The lady I spoke of did not return as yet, but the ‘tween’ came with a bunch of pre-packaged snacks for the ‘snack table’ and asked if she might also contribute prizes for the ‘prize bag.’ She is like a zealous new convert. On Sunday, her parents came down to the pavilion to meet us. They have been in church in the past but are not in church now. They thanked us for being there. God is good and He will do what He will do!
  • Gary on On the Path of Life — Latest News From Aggieland Faith:What is the zip code? Have you considered a donation box? Being that someone asked about giving. It could even go to another ministry or cause if you didnt want it to help what your doing... just a thought..

  • Kerusso on On the Path of Life — Latest News From Aggieland Faith:Sure Gary, Our address is: Harold & Therese Greenberg 301 Holleman Dr. E. #1211 College Station, TX We do not, as yet, have a legal name; therefore, any gifts would be a blessing for the ministry but not tax deductable for the giver. That reminds me; one of the tween girls asked me if she could start giving something to help cover the cost of the snacks (I got goose-bumps) -- how precious is that? I told her she could just bring extra food for the table if she liked. Also, a nice lady wants to tithe to us, but we want her to know that she will be forfeiting her tax deduction if she does.

  • Kerusso on On the Path of Life — Latest News From Aggieland Faith:Harold and I like to say, “This is highway and byway stuff.” We just set up, preach and see what happens. We have even stopped trying to, “nail it down” by getting all the names and addresses for follow-up. We just spread invitations and preach. We also have packets we send home with the kids. One lady (who found a packet in her home) came last week with her daughter. She asked, “Where do these kids come from… do they just show up?” That’s right, they just “show up” -- how cool is that? May God continue to give us His grace to do this, whether or not there is apparent fruit.
  • Kerusso on Free PowerPoint Sermon: “Draw Near to God” Thanks Gary, Your kind support is truly encouraging. Like any Sunday meeting, I get a week to be ready. I have a gathering phase (thoughts, scriptures, pictures, videos) and then an organizing phase. These PowerPoints are for the bigger kids to adult category. Prior to this, Harold does the little kids with prizes, name tags, felt board bible stories, animated videos, crafts and take home papers. The crafts (and snacks) are a big draw. The people are encouraged to come and go as they please. We say, “When you need to go, just wave so we know you’re not mad.” There is a lot of waving, coming and going. This particular PowerPoint had a blessed anointing. At the end we asked everyone just to call out the name of Jesus two or three times. When we did, both Harold and I felt His presence. We really feel like we are standing on holy ground in that little pavilion.

  • Free PowerPoint Sermon: Guard Your Heart: The Cain & Abel Story:.

There are two ways to respond to our sinful nature before God. We may choose to do good works and expect God to accept us gratefully, or we may choose to confess our sins and depend on nothing but His mercy and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. This lesson compares Cain and Abel with the New Testament story of the self righteous Pharisee and a humble Publican. Self-righteousness in the heart will always lead to contempt for others. Guard your heart!

  • Video & Free PPT: Lesson #17 – A Tale of Two Kings (Pt. 4) Don’t Call it Faith (Selling Phony Piety)

Like the Pharisees, Herod was a religious hypocrite. He believed himself to be the likely Jewish Messiah. But, like many religious people today, Herod (who was not a Pharisee or a Sadducee) was a fakeasee!! We would do well to examine our own hearts and decern between the things we do that come from authentic relationship with Jesus and those things we do merely for show.

  • Video & Free PPT: Lesson #16 – A Tale of Two Kings pt. 3 (Herod, the Not So Great – Seeking Prestige)

When the pleasure-seeking Greek empire gave way to the power-grabbing Roman forces, Herod was fully engaged with it all. But, in his heart of hearts, he wanted more than anything to be remembered as a Great Man, a contributor, God’s gift to mankind, a name (dare we say) above every name.

  • Video & Free PPT: Jesus Lives in an Upside-Down House

In this lesson we learn about two kingdoms–the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world. These two kingdoms employ completely different laws.

  • Video & Free PPT: Lesson #15 – A Tale of Two Kings pt. 2 (Herod’s Rise – Seeking Power)

As we continue to look at the life and reign of Herod the Great, it feels like we are reading today’s headline news.

  • Video & Free PPT: Lesson #14 – A Tale of Two Kings pt. 1 (Herod’s Greek World – Seeking Pleasure)

It is also interesting to note how similar those times were to the attitudes of today. We recommend the following music to go with your lesson time together:.

  • Video Lesson: You Owe Me

When Moses brought Pharaoh God’s message requiring him to set the children of Israel free, his immediate response was arrogant and defiant. We are all slow to give the Lord His proper place in our lives. In this message, we learn what that place is: We owe Him; we need Him and we belong to Him!
